During this course you will have the opportunity to step outside and paint directly on Hampstead Heath, London - a location famously captured in the paintings of John Constable. You'll learn how to observe and translate the natural world in real-time, experimenting with oils, acrylics, and watercolours to express light, atmosphere, and the unique features of your surroundings. The course emphasises creativity and personal style, encouraging you to develop your interpretation of the world you see around you.
Throughout the course, you’ll receive one-on-one guidance engaging in hands-on exercises, and benefit from constructive feedback in a supportive group setting. By the end of the course, you will have gained confidence in your ability to paint landscapes with authenticity and flair, and you will leave with a portfolio of vibrant, evocative works that reflect your connection to the natural world.
